chalet rental in Mauborget
Located at 1200 meters above
sea level in Mauborget, a small village in the Swiss
Jura, the chalet has a panoramic view of the Alps: on a
clear day, the view stretches from the Geneva area to
the Lucerne region over nearly 200 km! There you can
enjoy the fresh air and clean water, and discover the
region on foot or mountain bike in the summertime, and
cross country skis in the winter.
The chalet is fully equipped (see
the Chalet tab for a full description) and can sleep 5
people comfortably. The closest towns for shopping are
Yverdon-les-Bains, the largest in the region with its
24,000 people, located in the plains about 20 minutes
away, and Sainte-Croix, a smaller town in the Jura,
about 10 minutes away.
One
reaches Mauborget generally through Yverdon-les-Bains.
Yverdon is easily accessible by car and train. By car
Yverdon is situated on the major highway going through
Spain-France-Switzerland-Germany, and is less than one
hour away from Geneva, and two hours away from both the
Italian border at the St-Bernard Tunnel and the border
with Germany in Basel. Every hour, there are trains
going to Neuchatel-Bienne/Biel-Basel or Zurich, and
Lausanne-Geneva or Sion in the Alps.
